New Coil
In addition to the new wires from Taylor Cable Products, Mark added one of Taylor's new GM coils. They provide high performance with factory mounting. Their design features a unique turns ratio, plus lower primary resistance over a stock coil. This makes for a bolt-in replacement coil that produces more output voltage. Installation was as simple as removing the 2 rivets on the stock ignition module/coil bracket and bolting in the new coil with the supplied hardware.

Throttle pedal installation:
Determining a comfortable position for the Lokar billet throttle pedal was Marks first step prior to mounting it to the firewall. Doubled sided trim tape is an easy way to temporarily attach components to experiment with different locations. Remember to make allowances for carpeting and insulation thickness when mocking up your different seat and pedal combinations. Routing of the Lokar throttle cable was then checked for clearances and position before drilling the firewall for the cable fitting.

Mark didnt want exposed fasteners on the firewall so he welded a small, stiff, sheet metal bracket to the inside of the firewall to attach the pedal. The two key-holed shaped slots in the sheet metal bracket allow for flanged head screws to be pre-installed in the mount bracket and then positioned and torqued.

Splined interfaces on the Lokar throttle pedal allow for lots of adjustability. Finally, double check for full throttle travel before trimming your cable to length.
