Space constraints and the need for the front bar to dip down to clear the AC lines prevented Mark from using our straight torsion style sway bars. Mark contacted Quickor Suspension about bending up custom bars. They can provide this service in addition to the stock applications they handle. PVC tubing was used to mockup both the front and rear bar to determine size and layout. The mockup for the front was also shipped to Quickor for use as a pattern.

A ¼" thick steel gusset was added to the rear trailing arms for attach points for the rear bar.

The front bar is 7/8" in diameter and has a powder coat finish. The Quickor rear bar is ¾" in diameter. Urethane bushings and mounting clamps were also included with the bar. Mark chose to use stainless rod ends for the linkage. Quickor can also provide end links and bushings to fill your needs. The front bar attaches to the stock attach point on the lower control arms. Holes were drilled in the frame to bolt the front bar on. Its final position was set with the suspension at ride height.

In the rear, Mark extended the boxing on the inside of the frame rails. This provide a smooth mounting surface for the attach brackets. Square nuts were welded to the inside of the frame at the body attach points prior to welding the extensions on. The lower edge and extension seams were final welded and ground smooth. The topside of the extensions will be final welded with the body off.

3/16" X 2" steel flat stock was bent up to form the rear mounting brackets. Their positions were marked with the bar in position and then tack welded.
