Windshield

As the list of body modifications nears completion, incorporating a new windshield needed to be done. Instead of using the original frame with new glass, Mark contacted Jefferis Auto Body about their One Piece Curved windshield for 1937-1939 Fords. These windshields use a new car style seal without a frame, resulting in eliminating water leakage and wind noise associated with the original style windshield.

In addition to the One Piece Curved windshield , everything you need to install it is included in the kit.

This photo shows the supplied filler plates tack welded in. They can also be attached with rivets or screws on finished cars. Two filler plates were also added to the original hinge pockets.

Next the support frames for the windshield from the Jefferis kit were matched drilled to the body and fastened with the supplied screws.

Here you can see the windshield temporarily set in place for a fit check. Another nice aspect of the Jefferis windshield is the increased viewing area from inside the car when there isn’t a center bar or frame around the perimeter. We will show the completed installation after paint.
