The most common style of Top Hat frame rail design, was used by Chevrolet with extremely thin 12-gauge steel from 1936-54. Corrosion and age can weaken these frames without proper reinforcement. Our weld-on 10- gauge frame reinforcement plate kit is designed to strengthen the areas where components will be attached. These can be notched around stock body mounts, if needed.

You should inspect your frame to insure that it is solid enough for use. These are not designed to repair a rusted or crack frame, but to strengthen a usable original frame.
